Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.

Hello dear readers! It's been far too long. Attila, Genghis, and Hannibal are playing nicely with each other, the AKO is being productive, and The Dude thought he'd stop by for a bit.

The 140 character beast has taken up far too much of the little "social networking" time he has to maintain this blog in the form it deserves. Google+ also has proven interesting, although The Dude isn't fond of Google's "true identity" policy, so his participation has largely been that of a "lurker" - watching interesting people saying interesting things. Of course, the Liber Vultus is still teh 3V1L as far as participation goes- luckily the AKO keeps our family updated on all the hijinks.

What remains is what to do with this forum? Another contest? Random posts? Deep analysis of issues with Ye Olde Informatik Oxtrail? Inquiring minds want to know.

We'll take the stairs!

The Dude loves the Public Library. Books, CDs, DVDs, video games, all available for checkout. This afternoon, Casa del The Dude is enjoying some of the 1973 Super Friends cartoons- with "four of the greatest heroes that mankind has ever known" (i.e. Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Batman/Robin). It's quite funny to watch Attila and Genghis react to the wacky adventures of Marvin, Wendy, and Wonderdog because although the trio are super-powered teenagers, they can still be outwitted by a preschooler. As an aside, the Legion of Doom and all the super villains don't show up until 1978- so the plots are generally pro-environment in nature, with non-super powered foes.

The title comes from an episode where Batman and Robin want to sneak up on the suspected villain who just took an elevator to the 60th floor of a skyscraper. After discounting some other ideas, they decide to run up all 60 floors of stairs… because it would be good exercise. If nothing else, it certainly explains why they are super heroes.

Eine Kline Nachtpost

Lazy fall afternoon to the rescue!! The Dude is relaxing in a recliner, everyone else is resting-- ahhh... Fall.
