The Dude loves the Public Library. Books, CDs, DVDs, video games, all available for checkout. This afternoon, Casa del The Dude is enjoying some of the 1973 Super Friends cartoons- with "four of the greatest heroes that mankind has ever known" (i.e. Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Batman/Robin). It's quite funny to watch Attila and Genghis react to the wacky adventures of Marvin, Wendy, and Wonderdog because although the trio are super-powered teenagers, they can still be outwitted by a preschooler. As an aside, the Legion of Doom and all the super villains don't show up until 1978- so the plots are generally pro-environment in nature, with non-super powered foes.
The title comes from an episode where Batman and Robin want to sneak up on the suspected villain who just took an elevator to the 60th floor of a skyscraper. After discounting some other ideas, they decide to run up all 60 floors of stairs… because it would be good exercise. If nothing else, it certainly explains why they are super heroes.
